Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Heaven !

So this past week I have been baking nonstop..
So I decided to blog on cookies..

Standard baking principles..
Creaming butter and sugar..

How cute is that measuring cup?

Pack those babies tight..

Let those babies hang out together..

Eggies..

Vanillaaaa !!

now I use vanilla bean paste, just because
I like the flavor it gives in those cookies..
if you don't have vanilla bean paste, use
regular vanilla beans..
going full out makes the difference..

How gorgeous is this?

Give them a lovely runaround..

Mama flour + Baby flour..

Salt

Baking Soda..

Mush them all together
Note: if you want double chocolate cookies,
here is where you add 1/4 cup of cocoa powder..

DO NOT OVER MIX
otherwise, it will turn into bread

Its around this time that you want to preheat the oven..

Gorge butter nobs..
and vanilla beans..

How BEAUTIFUL?

1 pack of chocochips..
(around 2 cups)

forget the cookies and start munching..

I use a melon baller not a cookie scoop..
cookies turn out smaller..
and they all turn out around the same size..

I love them a little messy,
cookies come out more random..

Shooting vanilla while I wait..

as cookie dough sits, it becomes more pliable..

not my favorite way of doing it, cookies come out flat.
but just to show..

take them out when then outer shell is cooked but the
center is still kinda raw..

Grab some milk !!

Recipe: 2 sticks butter (200g/ 100g each) 2/3 cup soft brown sugar 2/3 cup regular white sugar 2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla 2 1/4 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda 1/2 teaspoon salt (please don't ignore this, its makes all the difference) 1 pack chocolate chips. ~ beat the butter and sugar together until well incorporated, then add the eggs and beat again.. add the baking soda, salt and vanilla and mix with a spoon add some of the flour and mix until well incorporated, then add some more..
keep repeating this until all the flour is added. finally, fold the chocolate chips with a spoon. spoon into baking dish (around 1 1/2 - 2 inches apart) and bake for 10-15 mins
(keep a close watch after 10 mins though)
at 180*C. take them out of the oven before they are completely cooked,
they should be a little soft, and kind of doughy in the center
(this will help them stay soft, because cookies will continue to cook
for about 10 mins after you take them out of the oven.) transfer into plates Enjoy :)

Dana's Wonderland !

She walked in the door, pointing to herself..
"I'm Dana"
She kept saying over & over again in the most adorable way..

Her mom told me that Dana has a donkey which she adores,
and of course, I got way too exited..
"BRING IT!"
